Job Description

Our exciting apprenticeship role is just a few minutes metro / bus journey from Newcastle City Centre at The FoodHouse which is located at The Baker’s Yard, Gosforth, Newcastle upon Tyne.

We are looking for an enthusiastic apprentice to join our team to provide creative ideas to help achieve our business goals.

We require a confident and target driven person to work alongside our team. You should be able to work under pressure and have excellent computer skills.

Summary of the role

This role provides a fantastic opportunity for someone seeking a career in business administration to join The FoodHouse to support them in their growth as a business administrator.

As a Business Administration Apprentice, you will learn and undertake a wide range of administrative duties related to the delivery of The FoodHouse’s aims and objectives, enabling you complete an apprenticeship in Business Administration.

As part of the apprenticeship, you will achieve a Diploma in Business Administration.  This role is open to applicants of any age.

As a Business Administration Apprentice, you will undertake a range of on and off the job training activities as part of a structured programme.  The duties and responsibilities listed below indicate the range of tasks associated with the role of an Administrator with The FoodHouse.

The nature and complexity of the duties and responsibilities will vary according to the units being studied as part of your Diploma in Business Administration, your aptitude and progress and the time of year in relation to The FoodHouse’s activities.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Assist with client enquiries.
  • Update CRM system as appropriate in relation to activities undertaken.
  • Undertake administration relating to the advertising of client websites and apps.
  • Support around the booking of external marketing events (Expo’s)
  • Arrange client meetings and prepare documentation packs ahead of these meetings.
  • Undertake client financial data input
  • Filing of client and business documentation
  • Archive client records
  • Undertake other general administration duties, including but not limited to;
    • Preparing documents for print and electronic purposes
    • Archiving records
    • Supporting and producing documentation as and when requested by the management team
    • Preparing invoices and maintaining invoice records
    • Processing of incoming and outgoing mail
    • Assisting with the preparation of reports and statistical data.
    • Support the development and continual improvement of The FoodHouse’s administrative systems and processes
    • Undertake other such duties of a similar nature which fall within the scope of the role and which may be required from time to time
